Congrats to these guys

Good evening, Reader

A few weeks ago the first NNAS Bronze Navigator Award of the year took place down here in Kent. It was a great two days with another four people receiving their accredited qualification from the National Navigation Award Scheme. Well done to all of them for taking this step forward and learning such an essential outdoor skill.

The next NNAS Bronze Navigator Award - 01-02 Apr (2 spaces left)

The Bronze Navigator Award is the perfect starting place for you if you have little to no experience in map reading. It's spread over two days with a minimum of 12 hours of tuition needed to gain your qualification.

The location for this award is North Kent. On both days we meet at Camer Park near Meopham.

Day 1 is learning a lot of theory and practising the basic techniques in a controlled environment of the country park. Then we head out for a nice walk around the local countryside putting your new knowledge into practice.

Day 2 is straight out as a group and we make our way towards the North Downs. A stunning part of this county. There are a few hills on this day as we learn about the contours and relief of the ground. It's a full-on day and you will learn so much.

If this is something that you would be interested in doing then check this out for more information. Alternatively, I offer a one-day introduction to map reading course.

Ok, that's me done for now. I will speak again very soon. Have a great weekend!

Aaron.

Hey, Reader A couple of weeks back, I completed an event known as the Fan Dance, set in the Brecon Beacons National Park—or Bannau Brycheiniog, as it was renamed last year. This challenge is inspired by the legendary Fan Dance, a gruelling test all UK Special Forces candidates must endure. While the race mirrors the Special Forces' route, it kindly spares civilians from the full military experience. Participants have the option to select their weight category, leave the weapon at home, wear...
